A friend of mine posted this video on his Facebook. It’s a very interesting 8-minute presentation by Evan Williams, who worked for Google and Blogger and co-founded Twitter. I didn’t know about the guy and I don’t use Twitter, but I do like Twitter. Why don’t I use it, then? I don’t know. I guess I would rather read updates than take the time to create them.
Do you Twitter?
In his presentation, Williams talks about how in the past users have used Twitter to report updates at the scene of news events and to inform each other about where gasoline is cheapest in a certain city.
Members of Congress Twitter, people raise money on Twitter, and impersonation can happen on Twitter.
Quote Williams says in the video: “It seems like when you give people easier ways to share information, more good things happen.”
