Sightings

I’ve seen a few nice things in the last week that I want to share:

Friday evening, university gym: Sharing the indoor track with me was a couple. They were both wearing jeans and they were holding hands, talking. It looked to me like they wanted a place to stroll together, and since it was snowy and gross outside, they chose an indoor alternative. It was cute.

Friday night, student union: I saw Slumdog Millionaire for the first time. It’s one of those emotionally exhausting movies, because the story and the acting push your threshold for pity and awe. It was very good.

Saturday afternoon, neighborhood: I saw a mom and a girl, presumably her daughter, building a tall snowman in their front yard.
